<p>•Pickup from your accommodations in Moshi and drive to Londorossi gate for registration formalities</p><p>•Proceed with the drive to the route’s starting point located 12 km further away </p><p>•Have an early lunch before initiating the hike</p><p>•Start climbing through the beautiful rainforest giving you a closer look to wildlife including elephants and buffalos</p><p>•The trail leads to Mti Mkubwa camp to arrive in the late afternoon</p><p>•Dinner and sleep at the camp</p><p></p>
<p>•Climb from the rainforest into the moorland zone which eventually leads to Shira ridge </p><p>•The plateau displays magnificent views of Kibo (Kilimanjaro’s second highest peak)</p><p>•Have lunch enroute and proceed hiking to reach Shira camp</p><p>•An overnight stay at the camp</p><p></p>
<p>•Spend the day exploring the Shira plateau providing you with more trekking experience</p><p>•Pass through the moorland zone which displays Senecio trees </p><p>•Proceed with the trail to reach Shira 2 camp in the evening</p><p>•Dinner and sleep at the camp</p><p></p>
<p>•Acclimatization day which begins by climbing Lava Tower a 300 ft tall rock formation</p><p>• Arrive in at mid-day at the tower for rest and a lunch break</p><p>•Descend down the tower and continue walking to reach Moir hut in the evening</p><p>• Dinner and sleep at the hut</p><p></p>
<p>•Trek out of Moir Valley while approaching summit of Lent Hills before joining the Northern Circuit trail</p><p>•Explore the landscape which offer stunning views across the plains that lie north of Kilimanjaro and stretch out to the Kenyan/Tanzanian border</p><p>•Continue hiking to arrive at Buffalo camp </p><p>•Dinner and sleep at the camp</p><p></p>
<p>•Trek up the Buffalo Ridge which provides beautiful views and a remote wilderness feeling</p><p>•The path crosses over valleys to reach Third cave </p><p>•Dinner and sleep at the cave</p><p></p>
<p>•Trek through barren volcanic landscape to the lunar desert of the Saddle between Mawenzi and Kibo</p><p>•Arrive at School Hut in the afternoon for lunch</p><p>•Get time to rest and take much water in preparation for the summit</p><p>•It’s recommended to sleep early by 07:00 p.m</p><p></p>
<p>•Wake up around 23:30 for a hot cup of coffee and putting on trekking gears </p><p>•By midnight, transfer to the base of the mountain for the final summit attempt</p><p>•Hike through the volcanic scree to reach Stella point at 5735 m</p><p>•Rest a while and make the final 1:30 hour round trip to Uhuru peak (Africa’s highest peak)</p><p>• Get time for photographs while feeling accomplished standing at the roof of Africa</p><p>• After much celebrations and rest, start descending to reach Mweka camp in the evening</p><p>• Dinner and overnight stay at the camp</p><p></p>
<p>•Have breakfast and go for a short walk to finally reach Machame gate</p><p>•Upon arrival, show appreciation to the team by tipping them</p><p>•Get awarded with certificates whereby golden certificates are given to hikers who reached Uhuru peak and green certificates for Stella point hikers</p><p>•Return back to Mweka village for a drive to Moshi/Arusha town or a flight back home</p><p></p>
