Tarangire National Park
Tarangire National Park is renowned for its high density of elephants and majestic baobab trees that dot the landscape. During the dry season, the Tarangire River becomes a magnet for wildlife, attracting large herds of elephants, wildebeest, zebras, and various antelope species. Lions, leopards, and cheetahs also roam the area, making for rewarding safari experiences.
Birdwatchers will find Tarangire particularly appealing, with over 500 recorded bird species including colorful lilac-breasted rollers, ostriches, and hornbills. The park’s peaceful atmosphere and relative seclusion from the more crowded northern circuit parks make it an excellent destination for intimate wildlife encounters.
