Day 1 :

Day 1: Machame Gate (1640 m) To Machame Camp (2835 m)

•Pickup from your accommodations in Moshi and drive to Machame gate for registration formalities•Start climbing through Machame village covered in coffee and maize plantations•The trail leads on to Machame camp to arrive in the evening•Dinner and sleep at the camp

Day 2 :

Day 2: Machame Camp (2835 m) To Shira Camp (3850 m)

•Climb through the rainforest approaching the moorland zone which displays magnificent views of Kibo (Kilimanjaro’s second highest peak)•Have lunch enroute and continue trekking into the Shira Plateau •The path leads to Shira Camp to arrive in the evening•Dinner and overnight stay at the camp

Day 3 :

Day 3: Shira Camp (3850 m) To Lava Tower (4600 m) To Barranco Camp(3900 m)

•Acclimatization day where you trek from Shira plateau towards Lava tower, a 300 ft tall volcanic rock formation•Arrive at the tower around midday for rest and a lunch break•Descend the tower for a short hike to Barranco camp•Rest upon arrival while waiting for dinner to be served•An overnight stay at the camp

Day 4 :

Day 4: Barranco Camp (3900 m) To Karanga Camp (4000 m)

•Start by a steep climb up the Barranco wall of 900 ft high•Proceed walking across a series of hills and valleys to approach Karanga valley •Break for lunch and continue hiking to finally reach Karanga camp in the late afternoon•Dinner and sleep at the camp

Day 5 :

Day 5: Karanga Camp (4000 m) To Barafu Camp (4600 m)

•Trek out of Karanga to reach Mweka junction (4150m)•Proceed with the hike to join Mweka trail which finally leads to Barafu Camp•Have much rest and drink lot of water upon arrival while waiting for dinner•Retire to bed early by 07:00 p.m

Day 6 :

Day 6: Summit Ascent At Uhuru Peak (5895 m)

•Wake up around 23:30 for a hot cup of coffee and putting on trekking gears •By midnight, transfer to the base of the mountain for the final summit attempt•Hike through the volcanic scree to reach Stella point at 5735 m•Rest a while and make the final 1:30 hour round trip to Uhuru peak (Africa’s highest peak)•Get time for photographs while feeling accomplished standing at the roof of Africa•After much celebrations and rest, start descending to reach Mweka camp in the evening•Dinner and overnight stay at the camp

Day 7 :

Day 7: Mweka Camp (3100 m) To Machame Gate (1640 m)

•Have breakfast and go for a short walk to finally reach Machame gate•Upon arrival, show appreciation to the team by tipping them•Get awarded with certificates whereby golden certificates are given to hikers who reached Uhuru peak and green certificates for Stella point hikers•Return back to Mweka village for a drive to Moshi town •Overnight stay at the booked hotel

Day 8 :

Day 8: Transfer To Zanzibar

•Have breakfast and checkout the hotel for a drive to Kilimanjaro airport•Board a flight for a transfer to Zanzibar•Pickup at the airport upon arrival by professional and friendly guide•Drive from the airport to the beautiful coastal city of Stone town, the main Zanzibar city •Transfer to the booked hotel in the town•Delivery of a short safari briefing •Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel

Day 9 :

Day 9: Mnemba Island Day Tour

•Pickup from your accommodations for a 1:30 hour drive to Nungwi•Upon arrival, get transferred by boat to the exclusive Mnemba island •The island is considered a breeding site for turtles who are seen along with dolphins and whale sharks•Enjoy swimming, snorkeling and diving to see school of fish including striped snapper, surgeon fish•Proceed with sailing on a traditional dhow to Muyuni beach for seafood lunch•Beach relaxation with display of the beautiful island ahead of you•Return back by boat to Nungwi for a drive to Stone town•An overnight stay at the hotel

Day 10 :

Day 10: Jozani Forest and Stone Town Tour

•Pickup at the hotel for a drive to Jozani Chwaka forest habituated by herbs that can almost cure any disease•Explore the forest to come across the rare red colobus monkey, unique specie found in only Zanzibar •Take a walk across the mangrove swamp which displays beautiful view of the forest•Around noon, drive back to Stone town•Have an outdoor lunch at a restaurant •Proceed with the local tour in the beautiful town by visiting intriguing places including House of wonders, Palace museum, Old fort and Slave market•Take a walk along the narrow streets to see and purchase handicrafts including ornaments•Return to the hotel for dinner and sleep

Day 11 :

Day 11: Spice Island Tour and Transfer To Blue Bay Resort

•Pickup at the hotel for a transfer to Spice island •Explore the beautiful island for the discovery of spices, fruits, coconut tree climbing•Get a chance to test some of the tasty Zanzibar fruits •Break for a picnic lunch and drive back to Stone town•Upon arrival, get transferred to Blue Bay resort for an overnight stay

Day 12 :

Day 12: Beach Relaxation and Transfer To The Airport

•Half day sea breezing in the beautiful exotic beach for ultimate relaxation of body and mind•Spend quality time swimming and snorkeling for a great holiday experience•Break for lunch around noon and drive back to town•Upon arrival, transfer to the airport for a flight back home
