Lake Manyara National Park

Lake Manyara is a compact gem nestled at the foot of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. The park is famous for its tree-climbing lions, vast flocks of flamingos, and diverse habitats ranging from groundwater forests to open plains and hot springs. Despite its small size, the park holds over 400 species of birds and a wide array of wildlife, including elephants, hippos, giraffes, and baboons. Its proximity to Arusha makes it ideal for short safaris, bird-watching tours, and scenic drives beneath dramatic cliffs and lake vistas.
